Status Update

Asa: Curtis online on project. Had a phone conversation yesterday which gave confidence in putting some code out there. In past week, working on:

  • getting implementations installed
  • looking at OpenSAML tooling
  • curtis has been building a mindmap
  • also looking at conor tooling

Architecture Document -- wiki process

Asa: begun adding to wiki. Need input from OL members to get feedback. What is the best way to get notified about changes?

Conor: use mailing list to send notifies about significant changes. But much review takes place on airplanes, so need to be sure to get docs distributed.

Scott: would just as soon keep docs in SVN. Doesn't want it mailed to him.

Curtis: but that might restrict edits

Asa: could possibly send directly to Conor, publish to wiki too.

Conor: don't do anything special.

Scott: can download PDF from some wikis, but mediawiki is not so sweet.

Asa: will look for a way to conveniently generate document. Do you want something readable or editable.

Conor: readable offline -- but not necessarily editable

George: notes a wiki plugin that may be helpful

Discussion -- openliberty.org hosted test implementations

Asa: Derrick not on call, but he is setting up some implementations

Curtis: working with Ellen to work on HP impl

Asa: HP impl is installed at Zenn, but not yet at OL host site

Asa: Scott, won't need to walk throug the OpenSAML tooling until Arch doc is more complete

Scott: Yeah, openSAML tooling for encrypt/decrypt is very complex, but may be done in a week or two.

NOTE: Conor will set up his implementations in a few weeks when he has more time.

Next Steps

Asa: still working on getting complete impls installed. Need to work on documenting how others can access and use the installed apps. Will continue to work on the tooling investigations, and the document will start appearing.

Asa: first available testing event will be in November.

Scott: will hit a library freeze for OpenSAML and tooling, but that's just the APIs. Doesn't mean changes can't be made, but it would go into a branch and merged into point release later.
