Licensing

There are two aspects to the licensing for projects coming out of openLiberty.org.

  • License used for the software we develop
  • Contributors License Agreement (CLA) all developers agree to
  • All software developed by openLiberty.org will be licensed under the Apache 2.0 license.

The CLA used by openLiberty.org is based on the model used by Apache Software Foundation. To clarify the intellectual property license granted with contributions of software from any person or entity (the “Contributor”), we need to have a CLA on file that has been signed by the Contributor, indicating agreement to the license terms. Please download, print, and complete the corresponding openLiberty.org Contributor License Agreement for an Individual (pdf) or for a Company (pdf) and send it by facsimile to openLiberty.org at +1-443-647-0099, followed by regular mail to Attn: Brett McDowell, openLiberty.org, 445 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
